I wrote another story about Tesla and how they are achieving success in the marketplace before and I keep seeing stories concerning them so I thought I'd write a little more. Tesla really is a hot topic now as investors are constantly making calls on how they feel the company will perform. I have looked at the company from a consumer point of view and I constantly see things that I would continue to sway my opinion toward them. They recently came out with the ability to lease cars and now they've improved it even more. The leasing is now done through US bank and allows Tesla the same profits as before but gives customers much cheaper lease payments. Also did you know this thing has 7 Seats? In a Sedan! They also recently released the option to have two electric motors installed in your Model S, giving it all wheel drive. This boosted efficiency and performance! At the same time they announced an "autopilot" mode that will do a lot of the boring driving for you. Remember that desirability I talked about last time? Well, I want one after talking about all of that.
Before I talked about the ultimate success being that Tesla's volume model sold right now, the Model S (Pictured), is desirable and sells itself. Well, that goes onto another more literal level now. To preface this, Tesla is having trouble securing the right to sell it's cars in some states. There are laws preventing the direct sales of cars from the manufacturer and you must franchise to sell cars. This is in opposition of Tesla's model of direct sales model. They have had some luck getting approval from some states and face opposition from others. Regardless, There are customers in areas where Tesla is having trouble securing rights to sell it's car that are offering test drives of their own vehicles. Since, these people aren't employees this bypasses laws concerning Tesla. This is customer loyalty on another level. I can't really imagine anyone finding out that I couldn't test drive a new Audi A7 and making it a point to come let me do so. This is a car that starts at around 70,000 dollars and people are facilitating the test drives of other people. This is amazing to me.
Anyhow, I still believe Tesla is set for success. They are still selling out of cars and being back ordered on a regular basis. This car is still very desirable and now it's obvious they have an incredibly dedicated customer base that wants the Model S and Tesla to succeed as well.
